NSW Health: Advising NSW Health on the proposed redevelopment of the Royal North Shore campus in Sydney. The project will have a project cost exceeding $1 billion. It involves the development of a new acute hospital, a community services facility, a mental hospital, car parking and retail facilities. It will be financed by the private sector which will provide maintenance and other support services on a long term basis. The project also involves related "economic PPP" concessions for the car parking and retail businesses.
Sydney Water: Advised on this groundbreaking recycling project in metropolitan Sydney which will involve a private sector operator carrying out extraction and processing of effluent from Sydney Water's sewer system and the production of recycled water suitable for use by a number of industrial companies in Western Sydney.
Roads and Traffic Authority: In relation to its latest generation of tollroads in Sydney; responsible for advising on the proposed risk allocation, the drafting of the Project Deed and Request for Proposals and the contractual relationship with the lenders to the project.
State and National Coal Infrastructure Group Ltd: Acted for the State on the arrangements between the State and National Coal Infrastructure Group Ltd. in relation to land on Kooragang Island for the purposes of developing new coal loader infrastructure in the Port of Newcastle.
National Australia Bank: Acted for National Australia Bank on the A$500 million project financing of the Eastern Distributor project – a major toll road in eastern Sydney.
Very High Speed Train: Acted for the Commonwealth, New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory Governments in relation to the proposed Very High Speed Train between Sydney and Canberra. We advised the three Governments on all aspects of the project during the tender process up to the conclusion of a detailed proving-up phase following which the Governments decided not to proceed with the project.
Royal Adelaide Hospital Project: Appointed to assist the Crown Solicitor's Office of South Australia as joint legal advisers on the Royal Adelaide Hospital Project, which involves the PPP delivery of a new $1.7 billion hospital which will be the centrepiece of the SA Health system.
Olympic Co-ordination Authority: Acted for Olympic Co-ordination Authority, an agent of the New South Wales Government, on the tender for the financing, construction and long term operation and maintenance of the Olympic Multi-Use Arena at Homebush Bay which has a seating capacity for approximately 20,000 people.
