Toll Holdings Ltd: Acted in high-profile and complex litigation relating to the successful A$6.1 billion takeover of Patrick Corporation by Toll, including proceedings in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the Federal Court.  The matter involved multiple, large-scale and complex proceedings which played a crucial role in the outcome of the highest-profile hostile takeover in recent Australian corporate history.

Tatts Group Ltd: Acting for Tatts Group Limited (Tatts) in a A$600 million dispute with the State of Victoria in relation to the State's decision to introduce new gaming machine legislation in 2012.  It currently holds one of two licences for the operation of gaming machines (pokies) in Victoria, expiring in 2012.

Sural SpA:  Acted for this Italian-based international producer of aluminium, electrical conductor and mechanical grade alloy. The matter involved a claim in the Supreme Court of NSW for damages for breach of contract in relation to the supply of electrical conductor used in the construction of a high voltage transmission line in Western Australia.

Delphi Automotive Systems Australia Ltd: Acted in the Supreme Court of Victoria in litigation relating to a contractual dispute with a supplier of crucial motor vehicle components.  Fred obtained an injunction which maintained the supply of parts, thereby averting a major production stoppage.

Rocla Ltd: Acted in the defence of multi-million dollar price-fixing cases brought by the Queensland Government and six State government authorities in the Federal Court in Queensland against seven suppliers of pre-mixed concrete.

Publicly listed corporation: Advised in a highly sensitive and confidential internal investigation into possible contraventions of the Corporations Law, including insider trading, by a number of senior employees of a major bank.

Edingbay Pty Ltd: Acted for over 180 plaintiffs (all high wealth individuals) in multiple proceedings commenced in the Commercial List of the Supreme Court of Victoria against a law firm, a major accounting firm, a bank and the Legal Practice Board concerning a massive and highly publicised corporate fraud.  The proceedings also involved as parties several other legal and accounting firms and numerous professional indemnity insurers.
