Department of Finance & Deregulation: advised the Department in 2009 in relation to the administration arrangements for Commonwealth public sector superannuation funds.

Public sector scheme: advised in connection with a proposal to allow insurance for casual employees to be provided on an opt in basis rather than on an automatic basis. This involved advising on a wide range of superannuation matters including the consistency of the proposal with superannuation legislation and the trustees' duties under the general law.

Numerous Trustees: advised a number of trustees on obtaining an RSE licence from APRA. This involved reviewing and drafting outsourcing and resourcing agreements.

Numerous Trustees: Drafting contracts for trustees including custody, unit pricing, administration, transition management, and investment management.

APRA: Jane has been appointed by APRA (with the assistance of our financial services team) as the inspector for the investigation of the MTAA Superannuation Fund.

ExxonMobil Superannuation Fund: represented the trustee in the Supreme Court of Victoria proceedings, in what is believed to be the largest superannuation litigation in the Asia-Pacific region. The case involved questions of construction and rectification. Continue to advise the trustee in relation to all its legal issues, including defined benefit trust deed amendments, trustee obligations, outsourcing arrangements and all communications to members and retirees under the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act and Corporations Act.

Financial Institutions: advised a number of large financial institutions on unit pricing error remediation, including advising on and negotiating restitution methodologies, reviewing communications to members in relation to unit pricing errors and assisting the trustee in its negotiations with the Regulators.
