Marko Misko

Background

Marko Misko is a "front-end" construction lawyer. He has practised in various commercial aspects of major infrastructure projects, general construction work, and both public and private sector facilities maintenance and management outsourcings. This has included drafting and reviewing tender and contract documentation, negotiating and finalising transactions, providing advice on probity and other issues arising during the tender process, and other general contract and ongoing project management advice. It has also included advising on contract structures and risk allocation, particularly in the context of large-scale infrastructure projects.

Defence
He has been with Clayton Utz for over 10 years and has been working on Defence facilities projects for that time. Marko is the client relationship partner for CSIG. Marko specialises in developing and drafting standard form tender and contract documents for construction projects, drafting and negotiating project-specific documentation and providing legal advice on issues arising during the tender process and construction.

Marko's practice has had two primary areas of focus over the last ten years:

  • Defence construction and maintenance contracting;
  • Advising government on privately financial infrastructure projects
