He has also provided advice in relation to the structure and legality of many Toyota advertising and promotional campaigns and has assisted Toyota draft and negotiate the majority of its significant sponsorship and endorsement agreements.
adidas Australia: Chris is the principal legal adviser to adidas Australia, advising it in relation to a wide variety of commercial agreements including sponsorships, advertising agency agreements, arrangements with retailers, website and promotional agreements. He also works with adidas in relation to contractual, intellectual property and other disputes.
Origin Energy: Advising in relation to the protection of Origin Energy trade marks (including obtaining appropriate trade mark registrations) and in other intellectual property and marketing law related contentious and non-contentious matters.
Racing Victoria: Advising in relation to media rights and intellectual property related issues, disputes and commercial agreements in the context of Victorian thoroughbred racing.
ThoroughVisioN: Advising TVN from its inception in relation to the acquisition and licensing of media rights for Victorian and Sydney thoroughbred racing and in Federal copyright infringement proceedings in relation to the unauthorised use of TVN's audiovisual coverage.
Victoria Racing Club: Acted in various disputes (including Federal Court proceedings) which resulted in the VRC securing crucial "Melbourne Cup" related domain names previously controlled by third parties.
Department of Defence: Preparing and negotiating agreements for various Defence Force Recruiting sponsorships including with the Australian Football League and the Women's National Basketball League. Chris also advised Defence Force Recruiting on various intellectual property and privacy matters including in relation to the defencejobs.gov.au website and CD-ROMs used for training purposes.
