Product liability
Personal injury and personal injury claims: Defended personal injury claims arising from causes such as light aircraft crashes, flashovers of electrical switchgear, collapses of bucket wheel excavators, air-conditioning units, hydraulics, steel building products, rope grips, concrete waterproofing, light bulbs and lighting units, power tools and electrical fans.
Product safety issues: Regularly advises product manufacturers in relation to product safety issues. She has particular experience in relation to the development of product warnings and pictograms on products as diverse as electrical switchgear and building products.
Food standards and trade measurement issues: Jocelyn has acted for national brands of the Australian food industry for over 15 years. She regularly advises in relation to commercial disputes, food standards and trade measurement issues.
Pharmaceutical issues: Advises clients on all pharmaceutical issues as well as frequently liaisons with government bodies including the Therapeutic Goods Administration and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee.
Pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics industry: Has been involved in some of Australia's most significant litigation involving comparative advertising and passing off claims particularly in the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics industry.
Class actions: Has been involved in a number of capacities with some of Australia's most prominent class actions for her insurer and corporate clients. She is regularly called upon to provide strategic advice and/or to maintain a watching brief on behalf of interested third parties.
Jackson Special Commission: Acted for the Medical Research and Compensation Foundation in relation to the Jackson Special Commission regarding the likely shortfall in assets available to meet compensation claims from people injured by James Hardie building products.
Major recalls: Acted in many of Australia's major recalls including those involving Kraft Peanut Butter, children's nightwear, Sydney Water's boil water alerts and the Pan Pharmaceuticals recall.
Insurance
Portfolio review (particularly in relation to product recall, contamination and extortion policy wordings) and risk management including risk profiling, scenario planning, business continuity plans and disaster recovery plans and regularly provides specific risk services tailored to the retail, pharmaceutical and food industries. She also provides analysis of risk allocation, for example in connection with mergers and acquisitions.

Acting for an insured in a claim for indemnity against insurer in relation to more than 20,000 asbestos claims.
Litigation regarding tax issues involved in the transfer of an insurance business.
Acting in the arbitration of a Group Life Treaty.
Defending proceedings to restrain a London reinsurance arbitration.
Acting for a plaintiff in proceedings in the Commercial List seeking enforcement of a German guarantee on first demand.
