
Sub-prime litigation: Advising a major international investment bank in relation to disputes with a number of Australian investors (including local authorities) as a result of a fall in the value of CDOs associated with the sub-prime fallout in the United States. In particular, Bronwyn is currently part of a team providing advice on the recovery of losses under insurance policies in Australia and in the United States.
Coal mining arbitration: Bronwyn has recently been part f a team providing advice and conducting the arbitration of a number of claims forming part of a large arbitration concerning a coal mining operation in the Bowen Basin.
Lead contamination: Advising in relation to potential liabilities and insurance cover as a consequence of lead contamination pollution in WA.
Corporate fraud: Advising a national construction company in the investigation of fraudulent transactions, and obtaining Mareva injunctions against individuals and entities, and acting for an alliance of companies on the confidential investigation of complaints regarding the tendering and award of service contracts.
Insurers: Acting in the defence of numerous professional indemnity claims brought against land valuers, land developers, surveyors (land & marine), engineers, real estate agents, architects, accountants, financial planners, accountants and lawyers, and in the conduct of directors' and officers' and product liability litigation.
