Philippa Hore is a special counsel in the Intellectual Property and Technology team. Her practice has a specific focus on advertising and marketing law. Philippa advises on the full range of intellectual property issues that affect advertising and marketing, including trade marks, copyright, moral rights, confidential information, passing off, and brand development and protection. Additionally, she drafts, negotiates and advises on sponsorship agreements, creative and promotional agency agreements, and terms and conditions for trade promotion lotteries. She also advises on the application of the Competition and Consumer Act and privacy legislation to marketing activities.

Philippa has significant subject matter expertise and experience in privacy law. Her extensive work in this area includes conducting privacy audits, developing and implementing organisation-wide privacy compliance programs, developing and reviewing privacy policies and privacy collection statements, conducting privacy training, advising on the privacy implications of new products and systems, advising on employee privacy issues, advising on the privacy implications of marketing activities (including Spam Act and Do Not Call Register Act compliance) and assisting in the resolution of privacy complaints.
