David Gerber is a Special Counsel in the Insurance and Risk group. David is an insurance lawyer with extensive experience in general insurance and life insurance. He advises a broad range of clients on both corporate insurance issues and dispute resolution including advice on policy interpretation, claims, indemnity and risk issues, and the insurance aspects of major projects and commercial transactions.
David also has experience in commercial litigation. Before joining Clayton Utz, David held roles both in private practice and as in-house counsel, including the role of General Counsel and Company Secretary of a global insurer's South African operations and Regional Counsel for the general insurance companies in its Africa division.
David is Chairman of the Australian Insurance Law Association (AILA) Education Committee in New South Wales.
