Infrastructure projects: Pat has provided advice in connection with some of the most significant infrastructure projects undertaken in Queensland, including: the Nathan Dam project, Gold Coast Convention Centre Development, Gateway Bridge and Arterial Road, Inner Northern Busway, and the Tugun Bypass Project.
South East Queensland Water Grid: Advice on acquisition and transportation issues regarding the establishment and operation of the South East Queensland Water Grid.
Leading Queensland power generator: Providing advice on complex legal and strategic issues associated with negotiations to acquire land and native title under the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act (SDPWO) for a leading Queensland power generator.
Land tenure and property acquisitions: Advice on land tenure and property acquisitions for the Airport Link and Northern Busway projects. This included advice on compulsory land acquisition procedures under the Transport Planning and Coordinator Act and the Acquisition of Land Act. As well as providing native title advice for infrastructure delivery, Pat provided advice on planning issues under the Integrated Planning Act and specific exemptions applying to the State of Queensland.
Rolleston Coal Mine Rail Corridor Project: Provided advice to the Departments of State Development and Transport for the Rolleston Coal Mine Rail Corridor Project in relation to the Coordinator-General's evaluation report under the SDPWO Act. Pat also provided advice on environmental and planning approvals necessary for the project to proceed under Queensland legislation and the Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth).
