CIC Australia (CIC): Alfonso is advising CIC (an ASX listed company) on several significant development projects throughout Australia. His work has included drafting and negotiating a full range of acquisition and ancillary documentation (including contracts for sale, joint ventures, powers of attorney, option deeds and licenses)
Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing: Alfonso acted on the $150 million 2009/2010 Accommodation Project which is being conducted via a targeted EOI process seeking to deliver new purpose-built accommodation of approximately 40,000 m2.
Commonwealth Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency: The newly created Commonwealth Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, represented by us, executed a 12,250m2 agreement for lease for 15 years plus options in what will be the greenest building to be built in Canberra. It will also feature the largest array of photovoltaic cells erected on an office building in the southern hemisphere with an estimated annual output of 420MW.
ACT Government - Land Development Agency: Alfonso has been recently appointed by the ACT Government's Land Development Agency to act on the disposal of the balance of sites in a development known as Kingston Foreshore. This is a 37 hectare site that will generate approximately 230,000m2 of mixed use development. It is a prestigious appointment and follows on from work done by us for the Land Development Agency in property and planning issues, including the sale of land on an artificial island and adjacent to a harbour created in Lake Burley Griffin.
Additionally, the ACT Government's Land Development Agency has appointed Alfonso to advise on the sale of land in the Canberra town centre of Molonglo This initial release of land for Molonglo will consist of 400 standard blocks plus sites for 100 units.
Australian Taxation Office: Alfonso advises the Australian Taxation Office in relation to its office accommodation and commercial storage requirements at premises throughout Australia. Recently represented the Australian Taxation Office on what AFR described as "the largest pre-lease in Adelaide's history", being a 30,000m2 agreement for lease for 15 years plus option on completion of the purpose built building.
Westpac: Alfonso acts for Westpac Banking Corporation (and its predecessors including St George Bank, the Canberra Building Society and Canberra Advance Bank) for over 20 years on most of its major and/or complex transactions.
Molonglo Group Pty Limited: New Acton Precinct: Alfonso advised the Molonglo Group in relation to the redevelopment of a site on the Acton Peninsula, including the construction of a mixed use (commercial and residential) building and the redevelopment of heritage listed buildings into a 5 star boutique hotel.
Medicare Australia: Alfonso, with his team, is the sole legal services provider for the national leasing portfolio of Medicare Australia, including both commercial and retail leases.
Commonwealth Department of Defence: Alfonso acts for the Commonwealth Department of Defence in relation to property disposals in the Australian Capital Territory and regional New South Wales.
Commonwealth Department of Immigration and Citizenship: Alfonso acts for the Commonwealth Department of Immigration and Citizenship in relation to numerous leasing and construction projects.
Goodwin Aged Care Services Limited - Ainslie Residential Aged Care Facility: Alfonso acts for Goodwin Aged Care Services Limited in relation to the various stages of the redevelopment of its largest aged care facility.
