Australian and UK energy and infrastructure industries: Advising in respect of access requirements, competition, licensing and regulatory compliance in the Australian and UK energy and infrastructure industries, including both acting for clients in the energy sector from production through to retail, and acting for government and regulators in the energy industry.
Due diligence and contractual negotiation: Conducting due diligence and contractual negotiations in various M&A transactions in the energy and resources sectors.
Gas and electricity businesses: Providing ongoing advice to a top 50 ASX listed company involved in gas and oil exploration and energy retailing in relation to various aspects of its gas and electricity businesses, including joint ventures, sales agreements, swaps, contractual advice, project development and general commercial issues.
Commercial and project (energy and infrastructure): Drafting, negotiating and/or advising generally on gas transportation, processing, sale and marketing agreements, power purchase agreements, gas distribution agreements, use of system agreements, ISDA and non-ISDA hedging arrangements and service agreements.
Energy law and regulation: Advising in respect of access requirements, competition, licensing and regulatory compliance in the Australian and UK energy and infrastructure industries.
Deregulation and privatisation: Advised on the deregulation and privatisation of the electricity and gas market in South Australia and Victoria.
Acquisition and sales acts: advised on numerous regulated and unregulated mergers and acquisitions which include projects in Australia and abroad.
