Clayton Utz is a member of Lex Mundi ("The Law of
the World"), which is the world's leading association of
independent law firms, with more than 146 members, 370 offices
and 12,000 lawyers in over 83 countries.
Established in 1989, Lex Mundi is an ideal, cost-effective way
for members to serve the needs of their clients, in virtually
every major business center of the world.
Membership in Lex Mundi is highly selective. Members are chosen
as exclusive representatives of their jurisdiction (country, state
or province), based on the depth of their practice and reputation
as a leader in the local community. Lex Mundi members are therefore
among the leading law firms in their jurisdictions and offer a
full range of legal services - from traditional to emerging business
markets.
Clayton Utz joined Lex Mundi in 1989. Although Lex Mundi's policy
is to have a separate member for each jurisdiction (eg. in Canada
there are different members in each province), Clayton Utz is
the only Lex Mundi member in Australia.
The purpose of Lex Mundi is to provide a professional forum for
the exchange of information about legal developments, and local
and global practices. It also facilitates direct communication
among members, improving their ability to service clients
individual needs.
Clayton Utzs membership of Lex Mundi, means we can offer
our clients:
- Immediate access to leading local lawyers, in virtually every
major business center across the globe (including North and
South America, Europe, Australia, the Asia Pacific Region, Africa
and the Middle East).
- Efficient and centralised co-ordination of all matters in
Australia.
- Timely advice on the laws and procedures of other nations.
- Ready access to expert people with information about trends,
developments and business climates in other countries.
