Resource focused multinational: We are currently advising a large resource focused multinational in relation to its native title strategy in circumstances where the claimant groups had applied for registration of the claim and our client was interested in exploring the possibility of reaching agreement outside the court process.
We acted for a large resource focused multinational in relation to the compulsory acquisition of native title interests in order to facilitate the construction of hydrocarbon processing facilities both onshore and offshore. This process involved the successful negotiation of an Agreement with the Native Title Parties and a determination by the NNTT that the act could be done pursuant to the Right to Negotiate process.
Coal and hard rock miners: We act for numerous coal and hard rock miners in resolution of native title issues impacting on the development of their projects.
Oil and gas company: We acted for an oil and gas company in relation to the development of an ILUA for the construction and operation of a gas pipeline.
Mining companies: We have acted for numerous mining companies in negotiation of Whole of Project ILUAs for the development of their operations. We undertook all facets of this process, including native title negotiations and compulsory acquisition procedures.
